Why are home inspections important?
Home inspections are important for buyers and sellers by looking for major issues within a home. Most lending companies may not close unless a licensed home inspector has inspected the home.
Home inspectors are an important knowledge base for buyers and sellers since they can provide suggestions on maintenance, point out safety concerns, and help ease the anxiety of buying or selling a home.
What do home inspectors look for?
Using a multi-point home inspection approach, home inspectors look for any defects with the structure; exteriors; roofing; internal systems including plumbing, electrical, heating, and cooling; interiors; insulation, where possible; and fireplaces.
The role of your home inspector is to “observe without disturbing” the home. Home inspectors cannot conduct a home inspection if it can potentially cause damage to the property or place the inspector in danger.
What is included in a home inspection?
Your home inspection will include a multi-point inspection; aerial drone imaging of the home’s roof, when possible; and a detailed report with images and defects that were seen at the home. We can also provide radon testing and termite inspection for additional fees.
How does a home inspection save me money?
A home inspection can save both buyers and sellers of a home a lot of money! Buyers can potentially uncover expensive repairs that might have gone overlooked before a home inspection has taken place. This allows buyers to determine whether they would still commit to the purchase or work with their real estate agent to address any concerns.
Sellers can benefit from a pre-listing inspection where a home inspector will perform the same multi-point inspection before it is placed on the market. This allows sellers to repair or remediate any issues before a sale and possibly boost a home’s value!
We’ll work closely with you ensuring peace of mind during the inspection process.
